  • 2003 to 2006: Mr. Simone regularly attended at the Nostra Signora della Mercede private Hospital in Rome, where he observed and took part in cosmetic procedures performed by Dr. Mario Pelle Ceravolo.

 

  • 2001: Visiting surgeon at the Nouvelle Clinique de la Basilique, in Brussels, Belgium: Mr. Simone actively assisted Madame Helga Eder, spanning the whole spectrum of cosmetic surgical techniques.

 

  • From August 1995 to August 1996, with the rank of Medical Lieutenant, Mr. Simone held the position of Chief of Health Services at the Headquarters of the Southern Italian Military Region, in Naples, Italy. During his appointment, as general practitioner, he was a healthcare provider for 900 soldiers. He contributed to the settlement of various medico-legal proceedings involving military staff. He provided counselling and psychological support. He gave weekly lectures on hygiene and prevention and was personally in charge of the inspection of canteens, kitchens and barracks.

 

Mr. Simone was in an administrative role, which included co-ordinating rotation for medical staff.

On 1st January 1999, Mr. Simone was promoted to the rank of Medical Tenant in the Italian Army.

On 1st January 2005, Mr. Simone was promoted to the rank of Medical Captain in the Italian Army.

EDUCATION

 

 

  • 13th November 2000: received a Diploma of Specialization in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery awarded by the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, Faculty of Medicine and Surgery A. Gemelli, Rome.

PRESENT POST

 

 

  • Mr. P. Simone has held his position as Consultant Reconstructive and Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon at the Department of Reconstructive and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery,  Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome,  Italy,  since March 2002.

Mr P. Simone has been chief of the Post-Bariatric Plastic Surgery Centre, at the Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome, since July the 1st 2021.

 

His clinical activities consist of:

 

  • consultations
  • a wide spectrum of reconstructive and aesthetic procedures
  • follow-up visits.

 

Since 2011 Mr. Simone has had a special interest in post-bariatric plastic surgery. He regularly holds specific post-bariatric plastic surgery clinics.

 

Since 2003 Mr. Simone has been actively involved in the early diagnosis of skin cancer through dermoscopy and its surgical treatment. He regularly holds skin lesion clinics.

  • Simone is currently conducting the research project: “Assessment of the brachioplasty technique with a postero-medial scar, in combination with liposuction, in post-bariatric arm re-contouring”. This study is being conducted in co-operation with the Non-linear Physics and Mathematical Modeling Laboratory, the Materials Laboratory and the Microscopic and Ultra-structural Anatomy Laboratory at the Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome.
